Project 8: Gardening School Gardens for children: Many people think that in the school you only learn inside the classroom. The school grounds can be a resource to grow food to improve the diet and health of the school students. The school garden is a place to learn the detailed steps to grow and care for growing vegetables and learn about nutrition. The School Garden is a place for enjoyment and recreation with flowers, shrubs, shade, play areas and places where meals are shared. This case study is used to inspire pupils in our parents school gardening project. It tells the story of a small and poor school in our community who have been working hard to grow their own crops and produce neturious crops to add to the lunch menue. The pupils and teachers help out and learnt by doing some really valuable gardening skills that they are able to use in their homes and will be useful for the rest of their lives. The idea serves as an example of what can be achieved with teamwork, and hard work. Long-Term Impact Students who know how to raise vegetables in small urban spaces will bring hope for their futures as contributors to the family nutrition. Asphalt, dry land, mud and wasteland will become green connecting earth, sky, water and sun in small plots and containers for growing nutritious vegetables, grass spaces for games and areas of study. The school gardens will lead these community changes.
Project 9: Counselor

Project 11: Water source cleaning Ensuring the children are able to get an education in a safe and healthy communities we work in. A huge barrier to education is removed when children gain access to safe drinking water, private toilets and hygiene education. With these basic services available on school grounds, we see attendance rates increase; drop-out rates decrease; academic attainment improve and most of all we see happier, healthier children getting the education they deserve. By simple means like adding a filter to the drinking process.

The electrification process will created an opportunity to use the class rooms for evening class for skill training.
Project 13: School Books Many families live far below the poverty line and school is completely out of their reach due to the many costs to send a child to school. By raising funds books can be obtained to reduce reduces the school related costs making school possible for the children.
Text books is one of the main problems in for us. In most classes there will be few text books available for pupils to use. We will try to collect text books no longer required by Malaysian schools or other english speaking schools and these are checked for relevence to the Uganda curriculum. Books of value in Uganda will be transported with the help of the charity organization. Transport costs from anywhere to the schools are expansive.
